Description

Is a marble Roman copy of an original Greek by Scopas or Lisippus of about 320 b.C. It has been discovered in 1622, and in the same year it was restored by Bernini. Is exposed at the Museo nazionale Romano.
The mold used to execute the bronze work using the lost-wax casting process was produced directly in 1932 by Ferdinando Marinelli Sr., and is currently in the collection of the Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli
