Description

Is the sketch that Giambologna did in 1564 to show to the Cardinal Carlo Borromeo, that wanted to create a new fountain for the Piazza Maggiore in Bologna. Is kept in the Museo Medievale of that town.
The mold used to execute the bronze work using the lost-wax casting process was produced directly on the original by Ferdinando Marinelli Sr., and is currently in the collection of the Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli
