Description

The Naiads, pagan nymph of water, have been created in bronze by Giambologna between 1560 and 1565 for the Neptune fountain in Signoria Square of Florence ordered by Cosimo I de’ Medici. They are one of the most important and beautiful example of the Italian Mannerism.
