The Statue of Perseo was ordered to Celliny by Cosimo I de\u2019 Medici and created between 1545 and 1554. For the four niches of the marble carved base, Cellini created four mythological figures related to the Perseo\u2019s myth. One of them is Danae with the child Perseo. The original is preserved at the Bargello Museum instead the statue actually in the Perseus base was made by Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli<\/a>.
