The panel in gilded bronze, with the story of Joseph Jew, is one of the ten panels that form the Paradise Gate, the door of the Florence Baptistery. The Door is the most famous and important Ghiberti\u2019s work, that needed 27 years to create and cast it. Michelangelo has been the one that indicated it as the \u201cHoly Door\u201d for it\u2019s beauty.
\nThe mold used to execute the bronze work using the lost-wax casting process was produced directly by Ferdinando Marinelli Sr., and is currently in the collection of the Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
