Description

The marble sculpture “Bearded Slave” is a Posthumous original of the model of Michelangelo’s marble work conserved in the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence.

The statue was sculpted by Michelangelo between about 1525 and 1530 and is part of the so-called “Prisoners” for the tomb of Julius II.
