Description

Is probably the most well known Etruscan bronze, in fact is exhibited at the Archeological Museum of Florence with the inventory number 1. It has been cast in lost wax bronze in the IV century b.C., and was found digging out of Arezzo in 1533. Giorgio Vasari permitted Cosimo I de’ Medici to have it.
The mold used to execute the bronze work using the lost-wax casting process was produced directly at Archaeological Museum in 2010 and is currently in the collection of the Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli
